Due to the increased numbers of COVID positive tests and hospitalizations in the State of Colorado, RiverPointe has decided to forego group gatherings and dining in our restaurant for the time being. Residents still have access to transportation to the necessities, to Doctor’s appointments and grocery stores. The foot clinic, hair salon and hearing clinic will still be available. Residents are free to come and go, as well as visit their families, or have family members visit them in our outdoor setting. We do (however) recommend thoughtfulness and risk assessment to exposing loved ones living at RiverPointe to the virus and we expect our residents to limit exposure (as they have been doing) and to continue to be a kind neighbor to others living here at RiverPointe. This policy is subject to change depending on policies put in place by our Governor. Currently RiverPointe has a two-bedroom apartment and a large one bedroom apartment available to rent. We continue to offer tours to qualified seniors.

At this time we do not have events open to the general public but we are hosting Active Mind events with Zoom. See below for more information about our virtual events.

Join us for Older Coloradans Week 2021 – Reimagining Advocacy in a Virtual World
Featuring Five Webinars over Three Days
Partnering organizations serving older adults in Colorado are joining together to celebrate older adults the week of February 8th as Older Coloradans Week in Colorado! We will have five webinars over three-days that explore lawmaking and citizen advocacy in 2021, issues impacting older Coloradans in diversified communities, Colorado-specific statistics on needs of older workers, and our fifth webinar is a review of the week’s takeaways and a call to action. This is a free but donation-based week of virtual events that connects Older Coloradans, community leaders, advocates and aging network service providers with public officials. Our partner organizations include Aging2.0, Changing the Narrative, Colorado Senior Lobby and CU Multidisciplinary Center on Aging.
Active Minds started in 2002 as a series of poetry classes in a church basement in Denver. Before long, it grew to include other courses focusing on contemporary global issues, historical themes, and other matters of importance.
